Dayton Transit Plans, Reports and Articles

The 1986 Year 2000 Plan
This was a plan which I ran across at the library. At the time of publication, Dayton was still scheduling 50+ trolleybuses on 8 routes each day. The plan was also tied to a dual mode demonstration in 1986; one consideration at the time was to buy a fleet of dual mode buses, and to operate them under wire where they could. Costs for the dual mode bus were in excess of twice the cost of a diesel bus, and the idea went to the back burner ... for a few years.
The 2010 Greater Dayton RTA Electric Trolleybus System Benefit-Cost Analysis
In November 2010, the RTA released a study they commissioned which delineates and documents the economics of the trolleybus.
