Skoda Demonstrators 9601-9603

The three Skoda demonstrators, numbered 9601-9603, were assembled in the Czech Republic, and delivered to Dayton in 1996. These were the first new built trolleys in Dayton since the Flyers arrived in 1977.

These trolleys were also the first to have their rear doors behind the rear wheels since the Dayton Street Railway 100-180 Brills of the 1930s. The buses are 96" wide, and had the wheelchair lift installed at the rear of the bus.

They stayed in service until late 2004, and were then stored. In February 2017, 9601 and 9603 were disposed of by the RTA. As of November 2017, the RTA retains 9602.
