Ex-Cincinnati Marmon 540 on fire at Shafor and Brydon in 1965. The chimney on top was in fact a working chimney with a smudgepot.
Which caught fire the day after Bill Owen (head of City Transit) told the Dayton Fire Dept to ignore "any damn fool who reports a bus on fire." When it did catch fire the next day, it happened to be in Kettering, whose Fire Dept extinguished the blaze.
